FAQs

Who does Accessible Tx serve?
Accessible Tx serves children from 2-10 years of age in south Atlanta, GA.

Where are services provided?
Services are offered in daycares, preschools, via teletherapy, and at our
clinic.

What do I need for teletherapy?

•    A computer, tablet, or smartphone with webcam and microphone access (internal or external)

•    High-speed internet connection/WiFi

•    A quiet and distraction-free environment with limited background noise

•    A parent or caregiver for assistance, education, and troubleshooting (as warranted)

What does a free 15-minute phone consultation entail?
We believe that establishing a good relationship with the family initially, helps create a good foundation for your child in therapy. During your free 15-minute phone consultation, you will speak with a speech and language pathologist to discuss your child’s history, your concerns, our
services, therapy options and much more!

Is an evaluation required prior to services beginning?
Evaluations are required unless you have an evaluation report that has been completed within the past three months. However, if upon review, the prior evaluation is not thorough or complete, an evaluation through Accessible Tx may be required. This is determined on a case-by-case basis.

What do I need before my child’s evaluation?
You will need a physician’s referral from your child’s pediatrician prior to their evaluation. You will also receive several intake forms such as developmental history, consent for therapy, etc., that will need to be completed before the evaluation.

My child didn't qualify for early intervention (EI) or school services, can you still work with them?
Yes, sometimes school or EI services have different criteria that your child has to meet in order to receive services. Feel free to
contact us to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to further discuss.

What if my child needs an AAC device?
If your SLP identifies that your child would benefit from an AAC (Alternative and Augmentative
Communication) device, a separate AAC evaluation/trial period will need to be completed to determine which device is best suited for your child. If you already know that you would like to acquire a communication device for your child,
contact us
to schedule a free-15 minute phone consultation!

Do you accept insurance and private pay?

We currently accept private pay, Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids, Caresource, and Amerigroup.

Required documentation for insurance:

•    Doctor's referral from your pediatrician for speech therapy

•    Hearing screen results

  1. Newborn hearing screen results are eligible for up to 3 years and 11 months.

  2. New hearing screen results are required for ages 4 and up.

My insurance plan is not listed, can my child receive services at Accessible Tx?

Although we are an out-of-network provider for other insurance plans at this time, we still want to work with you and are happy to provide services to your child via private pay. Ask your doctor for a referral for speech therapy, which would allow you to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. After your service, we can provide you with a Superbill containing all the information that insurance companies require so that you can submit claims on your own, either to go towards your deductible or for reimbursement after you have met your deductible.

What is a Superbill?

A Superbill is an itemized list of all services provided to a client. The Superbill will contain additional information about the client visit including practice information, services provided, diagnostic codes, charges, and referring doctor.

What is a Superbill used for?

A Superbill is used by healthcare providers as a primary source of data for creating claims. These claims will eventually be submitted to payers for reimbursement. Superbills take the information from a client visit needed to successfully submit an insurance claim. Superbills are different from receipts/invoices because they provide additional information regarding the visit (diagnosis and procedure codes) that are needed to get a claim approved.

Accessible Tx Policies for use of a Superbill:

  • It is the responsibility of the client to request a Superbill.

  • Balance for services must be paid in full prior to receiving a Superbill.

  • Clients are responsible for submitting the Superbill to their insurance companies. Accessible Tx is not responsible for submitting a claim, or the outcome of a claim.

  • Clients should know their insurance benefits and check with their insurance company to see if they cover speech services for your child’s diagnosis. Many insurance companies will cover speech therapy only for specific diagnoses that are considered related to a medical condition.

  • Superbills will be provided monthly, unless a different schedule is requested.

We cannot guarantee any insurance reimbursements. We strongly suggest you check with your insurance company to determine whether or not you have coverage for speech and language services. It is your responsibility to determine whether or not you have coverage, as well as if any preauthorizations are required to evaluate or treat your child.

Please contact us for more information regarding evaluation and therapy fees.

Payment is due at the time of your appointment with Accessible Tx, LLC via our secure
online portal for debit and credit cards.
